This Shipping Policy explains how Innovative Instruments & Controls (“IIC,” “we,” “us”) handles the dispatch and delivery of orders, including products, spares, and custom-built control panels. By placing an order with us, you agree to the terms below.
1. Who Arranges Shipping
- Booking by IICAll parcel/freight bookings are arranged and coordinated by IIC through our approved logistics and transport partners. Customers do not need to arrange their own courier or transporter.
- Charges borne by customerAll shipping, freight, and logistics charges are borne by the customer. These charges are calculated based on the weight, dimensions, value, destination, and mode of transport for the order, and will be communicated and added to your invoice/quotation before dispatch.
- Choice of partnerIIC selects the most suitable and reliable logistics partner (courier, transport company, or freight forwarder) for each order based on the item type, destination, and urgency, unless the customer specifically requests a preferred transporter.
2. Shipping Charges
Shipping charges vary depending on the following vital factors:
An estimated shipping charge will be shared at the time of quotation. The final shipping charge will be confirmed and added to the invoice prior to dispatch, based on actual weight/volumetric weight and the transporter's applicable rates.
3. Order Processing & Dispatch Timeline
Orders for standard, off-the-shelf items are typically processed and handed over to the logistics partner within 2–5 business days of confirmed payment/PO.
Custom-built control panels (MCC, PLC, APFC, motor starter panels, etc.) are dispatched only after fabrication, wiring, testing, and quality checks are complete. Estimated lead times will be shared at the time of order confirmation and may vary based on scope, component availability, and site requirements.
While we make every effort to meet estimated timelines, dispatch may be delayed due to component/material availability, manufacturing lead times from OEMs, or logistics partner constraints. We will proactively inform customers of any significant delay.
4. Packaging
We prioritize safe transit by utilizing robust packaging standards:
- All products are packed securely as per industry-standard practices to minimize the risk of damage during transit.
- Control panels and heavy equipment are crated or palletized as required, based on size, weight, and mode of transport.
- Sensitive electronic components (PLCs, HMIs, drives) are packed with appropriate anti-static and cushioning material.
- Additional packaging requirements (e.g., export-grade wooden crating, fumigation-treated pallets) can be arranged on request, at additional cost to the customer.
5. Delivery Areas
- Domestic ShippingWe ship across Tamil Nadu and pan-India through our logistics partners, covering both metro and non-metro destinations.
- International ShippingWe also handle export shipments (e.g., to the Middle East and other regions) in compliance with applicable customs, GST/LUT, and export documentation requirements. Freight, customs clearance, and duties for international shipments are borne by the customer unless otherwise agreed in writing.
6. Tracking & Communication
- Once an order is dispatched, we will share the tracking details, transporter/courier name, and expected delivery timeline with the customer.
- For freight/transport bookings (as opposed to courier), tracking may be provided via the transporter's LR (Lorry Receipt) number or equivalent consignment reference.
- Our team remains available to assist with delivery status updates and coordination with the transporter until the shipment is delivered.
7. Delivery & Receipt of Goods
- •The customer or an authorized representative must be available to receive the shipment at the delivery address provided at the time of order.
- •On delivery, please inspect the packaging and item(s) before signing the delivery receipt. Any visible damage to packaging should be noted on the delivery receipt/POD at the time of delivery.
- •For palletized or crated panel deliveries, appropriate unloading arrangements (forklift/manpower) at the customer's site are the customer's responsibility, unless otherwise agreed in advance.
8. Damage, Loss, or Delay in Transit
- In the rare event of transit damage or loss, please report it to us within 48 hours of delivery (or, for non-delivery, within 48 hours of the expected delivery date), along with photos and the delivery receipt/LR copy.
- Since parcel booking is handled by IIC, we will coordinate directly with the logistics partner to file a damage/loss claim and arrange for repair, replacement, or resolution as applicable.
- Where insurance was opted for the shipment, claims will be processed as per the insurer's terms.
9. Failed Delivery Attempts
If a shipment cannot be delivered due to incorrect address, unavailability of the recipient, or refusal to accept delivery, any additional charges for re-attempted delivery, storage, or return freight will be borne by the customer.
